How do you know when it’s time to give your blog a facelift? When is it too soon? When is it too late? Is it ever too late? The ever-changing digital landscape means that what we consider to be modern features one day could conceivably outdated the next.
During 2016 I decided I was fed up with how slow my website was running. A check on Pingdom brought me in at an average of 15 seconds loading time, which is ridiculously slow. So, with a revamp already planned, I decided to use that time to improve my page speeds and this is what I did.
This weekend just gone I headed out on a mammoth blogging journey which had me at a Boots PR event (all the new Christmas goodies) and the awesome SHOMOs in London. It ended with me in Manchester for BlogOn Xmas so here is a round up of what happened on Sunday at my favourite Blogging event.
Yay, It’s BlogOn time again. You might remember back in May when I headed off to my first ever BlogOn, well it was that much fun I’m doing it again and it’s Christmas themed! In a couple of weeks I’ll embark on my 470+ mile journey to BlogOn in Manchester via London for the SHOMO conference.
As a blogger I know how important growing your social networks are for your site’s traffic. The more people who see you across those sites, the more chance you have of them clicking through to read your content. One place I personally struggle is on Instagram, it is a lot of work that I often prefer spending in other areas.
