With Birchboxes and Pink Parcels aplenty to treat yourself or your lady friends, it often seems like the men of this world get left out. I mean, not every guy wants a geek-themed box which is all there seems to be for them…well, until now. The awesome guys from The Personal Barber asked if Aaron would like to try one of their starter boxes so here is a look at what you get in it.
The Personal Barber Subscription Box
The Personal Barber subscription box is the ultimate treat for your stubble-free man. Each box contains luxury goodies which means that every shave feels like a pamper session, but a manly pamper session…don’t worry.
With your first box you get their double-edged safety razor, blades, a brush, shaving soap and more! Then every 6 weeks you get replacement blades for the razor and an assortment of other manly skin care products.
The box is £24.95 per month but you can get it cheaper by purchasing it over a longer period of six or 12 months. Each box is auto-renewed but you can cancel or skip a box at any time and they all include free delivery.
Before giving this box a whirl Aaron was bearded and at the time he was growing a moustache for Movember so as soon as he got the chance he gave it a try.
The razor was a little tricky for him at first, which is expected and why you’re supplied with an instruction sheet. It’s a lot different to using your regular Gilette or BIC razors.
He really likes the brush and the Delicate Owl shaving soap that came in his box and said that this was his favourite part. Aaron has rather sensitive skin and this didn’t irritate him or anything. Plus, it’s vegan…always a bonus!
The other products included in the box were a tub of Man After Shave Balm from Bee Cosmetics which he thought was really nice to use, helped soothe his skin afterwards. There was also a bar of Felix cologne from Solid Cologne UK, we both really liked this fragrance.
Great Gift Idea
The whole box looks really lovely and I think it would make a great gift for any man in your life who you think deserves a little pampering. You can order them as a gift subscription too. They’d be great for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day or birthdays, if you’re looking for something a little more exciting than socks and deodorant.
