We All Have Guilty Pleasures

From music and films to food and gaming. Many of us like and enjoy things in life that we shouldn’t or that others would judge us on. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the things in life that make you happy, as long as they’re not hurting anyone (or you) and you know when to stop.

We All Have Guilty Pleasures

Obviously there are many different types of guilty pleasure, most are harmless such as enjoying a song by an artist who has a certain stigma or eating food that sounds odd to other people. I myself have a selection of guilty pleasures that I like to indulge in, now and again.

Cheesy 90’s Pop Music

90% of the music I listen to involves guitars, drums, screaming/roaring and banging your head around but I didn’t always listen to metal/rock. Back in the late 90’s, early 00’s I was very much into my pop/dance music so I often get a wave of nostalgia and will throw on some of those songs.
Britney Spears, Shakira, Darude, Westlife, Steps and 5ive all hit my playlist for a few hours of being a young teenager again. Normally this is down while Aaron is away from the house otherwise the judgement starts.

I would class myself as a proper gamer, albeit not a great one. I have a gaming PC and enjoy games such as World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14 and the 100’s of games on Steam that Aaron and I own. There is though, another form of online entertainment I often indulge in and that is bingo.
I love sitting and watching my numbers get called, screaming at the screen when I’m down to one number and the excitement of winning a little cash. If you enjoy going to bingo halls but have never tried online bingo then I recommend you check it out, it’s a lot more fun than regular bingo.
**If you have a gambling problem then I recommend you don’t play bingo, or any other online gambling games.

Chips, Cheese & Gravy

Now, depending who you speak to this meal is either given from the gods or the foulest sounding dish. It is a very popular drunken dish here in Yorkshire and on the Isle of Man (where I was born). For those not in the know, this dish consists of chips (chip shop are the best), a healthy sprinkling of cheese (mixed cheddar and mozzarella preferably) and super thick gravy.

It’s something I crave when I’m out for the night, but I’m known to happily munch it when I’m not under the influence.

So, what are your guilty pleasures?
