Not prepared for Christmas? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. I still feel like I’m nowhere near prepared but we still have time, so don’t panic. To help, I’ve reached out to the gods of the internet to bring you a few last minute gift ideas for Christmas.
For The Geeks
So, for the geeky ones if your life I have a few awesome gifts that didn’t arrive in time to be featured in my full gift guide for geeks.
First up an awesome Star Wars lamp in the shape of a Tie Fighter, a must have for every nerdy desk. The lamp is posable so it can be moved to any position for your illumination needs. You can currently grab this on Amazon for £34.95 with Prime delivery so it’ll come just in time for Christmas.
Next up is perfect for all you Disney obsessed and it’s from my favourite film, Beauty and the Beast. You can now own your very own enchanted rose as a light. This light is really cute, powered by a USB cable (which is included but you need to plug to plug it in to) and you simply tap it on/off. The one in the image is sitting on my desk and feels rather magical. This can, again, be grabbed on Amazon for just over £20.
The last thing for the last minute geeks is this PlayStation mug. It’s so fricking cool, especially if you’re a gamer. It’s bigger than it looks and is sturdy, so will hold your cup of tea perfectly while you kill bad guys and save the world in whichever game tickles your fancy. Unfortunately, this isn’t Prime on Amazon so it may take a little longer to arrive but you can also pick it up at Argos for a few pence more. It costs around the £12.99 mark, depending on where you buy it from.
For The Skin Care Conscious
Everyone deserves a little pampering, especially around Christmas so here are a few things perfect for someone you wish to see look after themselves a little better in the new year.
I do love a good face mask and T-Zone do a great range of products for every skin type. They’re also really affordable and available in Superdrug, who offer free in-store collection. Prices range from £2.50-£5.00 which makes them a great stocking filler. Hardest choice is which mask to go for.
Quite often we pay so much attention to our face that we forget that we should be taking care of the rest of our skin. This Vie Spa gift set does just that! It includes a pot of black soap which, when used with the glove, exfoliates your whole body, a clay which is used as a facial mask, cleanser and shampoo, and a bottle of argan oil to help moisturise your skin. The gift set is available for £18.95 on Amazon with Prime.
Something for the guys too. Bomb Cosmetics have created The Distinguished Gentlemen set which includes Dapper Chap Soap, Wave Hello Shower Gel, The Distinguished Gentleman Body Lotion, Man Grenade Bath Blaster and The Big Blue Soap. The set smells amazing which means that the stinky man in your life will now smell amazing too. Find Me A Gift have this set currently on sale for £8.49 rather than £11.99 so grab it quick!
For The Pets
You can’t forget about the furry ones in your life so I’ve picked up a couple of bottles of plonk for the cat and the dog. These are on sale almost everywhere but I picked these up at Home Bargains where they’d been reduced to 50p each. Now the animals can have something nice to drink with their Christmas dinner too, hopefully it’ll also stop Dax (our dog) touting for Aaron’s beer.
For The Grown Ups
I included a couple of games in the kid’s gift guide a few weeks ago so now it’s the grown-ups turn to have a bit of fun.
Monogamy is a game I’ve had my eye on since seeing it at BlogOn and something I’m very much looking forward to playing with Aaron on our next child-free night. It’s currently retailing at £24.99 over on SXY. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review in the new year, or whenever Eban disappears to a grandparent’s house.
For a less intimate bit of fun check out Scrawl which is played with friends. This fun drawing game requires you to have no real creative skills because the poorer you are at drawing the funnier the game is. This game won the award for “Best Adult Game” at this year’s BlogOn Toy Awards. Pick it up over at Amazon, with Prime delivery, for £25.00.
For The People Who Like…Pens?
So, this might be a bit of a strange entry but when I saw these in my inbox I couldn’t say no. These BIC 4 Colours were designed by a 13-year-old and they’re just wonderful. So much so that when I declared to the family that I was keeping the one I sent they all protested. This has led me to purchase another two pens to give them both one for Christmas. At £3.99 per pen, they’re a steal! Perfect for stocking fillers, Secret Santas or smaller gifts for everyone from students to Pete in HR.
That’s my Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide 2018 all wrapped up. I hope you like the selection I’ve put together and it provides a little inspiration. Make sure you keep an eye out for other Christmas content across the blog including recipes, other gift guides and ideas.
I was sent some of the items featured in this gift guide for free, in exchange for this post. This doesn’t change how I feel about them, I still think they’re all pretty awesome which is why they’ve been included.
Let me know if any of these helped with your last minute gifts!
