Realistic Lifestyle Changes That You Can Make In 2021

Collaborative Post

At the start of the year, we often try to find new ways to reinvent ourselves. Whether we want to grow personally or professionally, we set ourselves a lot of goals in January. However, our resolutions can often be unrealistic or hard to maintain, meaning that they are all but forgotten when February rolls.

Changes Are Coming...

Therefore, if you want to make real change in your life, it is important that you remain focused. One way in which you can do this is by writing down a list of your goals. The act of writing them down will solidify the challenge in your mind, and you can return to the paper and tick each goal off as you achieve it.

  1. With that in mind, here are some realistic goals you can set yourself this year.
  2. Spend more time outdoors. Whether this means you go for a walk each morning, or sit outside during your lunch break, spending more time outside can have positive effects on your mental and physical health.
  3. Find time in your daily schedule for exercise, even 10 or 15 minutes a day can make a real difference. If you haven’t worked out in a while, start small and build you way up.
  4. Drink more water. Buy a fancy new water bottle, and try to ensure you are keeping your body hydrated. You will soon see the benefits!
  5. Find a new hobby, and dedicate a certain amount of time each week to it. Remember, you can’t get good at something overnight – it takes time.
  6. Swap cigarettes for vapes, which contain less harmful chemicals. You can Explore the best deals that Time2Vape offer on numerous E-Liquid types on their website, and order via click and collect at a local carrier.
  7. If you spend too much time on your phone, challenge yourself to go without it for at least an hour a day. Increase the amount of time gradually, allowing yourself a break from technology.
  8. Instead of scrolling through social media before bed, read a book or a magazine.
  9. Expand your knowledge or keep yourself entertained on your morning commute by listening to a podcast. This is a great way to learn more about a subject you love, be that gaming or true crime.
  10. Focus on developing a realistic nighttime/morning routine.  This can help you get more sleep, boosting your energy and productivity levels significantly. The more rested you are, the better your mood will be.
  11. Practice self care more frequently – don’t be afraid to treat yourself from time to time. Remember, there is nothing even remotely selfish about self-care.
  12. Learn to say ‘no’. You don’t have to take on more work if you are already feeling overwhelmed. If you are tired, you don’t have to go out for a drink with friends. Focus on what is best for yourself, and don’t allow others to guilt-trip you.
  13. Start asking for help when you need it. Too often, we struggle in silence – but there is always somebody around to listen and offer support should you need it.
