Buying for men is HARD! I hate trying to think of what to get Aaron for birthdays, Christmas and days such as Father’s day. I like quirky gifts so a box of chocolate or a video game just doesn’t cut it in my gift book. What I do enjoy buying is funky mugs and slogan shirts so when the guys at ShotDeadInTheHead offered me a couple of bits for a review I almost bit their hands off.
The Perfect Gift
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect Father’s day gift for Aaron from Eban but Aaron hates gifts. Luckily a mug and a t-shirt are super useful so he can’t really say no to them. Now, there are LOADS of companies online that offer quirky t-shirts and mugs so trying to find one that suits your needs can be hard.
ShotDeadInTheHead offer quality products at reasonable prices and what I love most is how environmentally conscience they are. When my t-shirt and mug arrived it was in minimal packaging. The t-shirt was in a plastic bag folded neatly on top of the mug, which was secured with cardboard inserts, and both items were in a box just big enough. None of this ridiculous packaging, no bubble wrap or a tree’s worth of paper padding. Exactly what the items needed to arrive safely to my door.
I’ll be honest, I was spoilt for choice. So many of the t-shirts would have been great for Aaron but I settled on one that suited him perfectly. I went for a black one that had the phrase “I’M SORRY IT’S JUST I LITERALLY DON’T CARE” written across the chest in grey and white font.
The quality of the print is fantastic, the t-shirt’s care instructions are printed on the inside of the item so no irritating label to contend with and the sizing is spot on. I opted for a large for Aaron because, even though he’s currently losing weight, he has broad shoulders so any t-shirt needs to fit there before anywhere else.
I love mugs! If I didn’t have Aaron to tell me I’m being an numpty then I’d have a cupboard full of just mugs – as in a whole cupboard, not just a shelf. When I saw this mug under the Father’s Day ideas category I didn’t need to look at any other mugs. It made me giggle and it is the kind of humour Aaron loves.
Like the t-shirt, the print is clear and well done. I’m looking forward to him getting it on Father’s day – now, do I wrap it or make his first cuppa of the day in it and see if he notices?
As mentioned above, the sheer thought that went in to the packaging of my products set me up for a great expectation of the company before I even looked at the mug or t-shirt. The shipping is only £2.99 for standard first class, which takes an average of 2-3 days to arrive, or a little more to get it quicker – keep an eye out for discounts on this. They also offer a 90 day “no quibble” guarantee so if you’re not happy you can exchange or refund your item.
Psst…did you know you can submit your own phrases and designs then earn money from each one that sells? Also worth looking at *wink*
