I’m a sucker for anything that makes my life easier, especially when it comes to my blog. Don’t get me wrong, I love my blog but it can be a lot of work as any of your who have your own will know. Making sure you have content that your audience wants, spreading that content around social media and finding more content does take a lot of time. If you are trying to find sponsored content then keeping track of your total reach can take a huge chunk of that time; checking Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc each time a company wants to know your stats takes up valuable blogging time. Well, Webfluential is here to help.
Webfluential is basically an agency for bloggers – it connects them to brands/companies who have opportunities for featured content. In order to do this the blogger, or Influencer, sets up a profile and adds all their details including their fees for services such as blog posts, Facebook posts, Tweets and YouTube videos – giving the brand an idea of what is available to promote their products/services.
Part of this profile is an AMAZING media kit which is unlike any other in the fact that it is dynamic so it is constantly updating itself with the needed stats that a blogger’s potential client might need. This media kit pulls stats from all the social media channels as well as Google Analytics and YouTube to give a combined reach of a bloggers content – it also analyses how that content is received and shared outside of the bloggers channels.
The media kit displays your audience’s demographics such as location, age and gender so potential clients can see if you fit what they are looking for. It allows you to share content you have written for other brands/companies as well as showcase any mentions you might have received on Twitter.
Media kits can be purchased for a fee of £100+ and no doubt will become out of date within a few months, you could always give it a go to make one yourself but again, after a few months it might be out of date. The media kit offered by Webfluential is FREE, how can anyone say no to a free media kit?
There is also a WordPress plugin which gives you a widget to add to your site (mine is at the bottom of my page) and it also creates a booking form so potential clients can create a quote and book your services directly from your site.
What is a media kit? Well, it is a way to showcase you and your brand to prospective clients. Show them who you are, what you do and how far you can reach – or to them, how far you can advertise their product.
As I said, I love anything that makes my life that little bit easier – especially if it will also save me money. Webfluential is a fantastic site and a must have for anyone who is wanting to increase their chances of getting sponsored work from brands/companies. It takes a minute to sign up and then however long to prepare you media kit to your specifications.
